I planned to do this post a while ago but somehow it never made its way into my schedule and sat in drafts for ages. I thought about scrapping it as we’re nearing the end of winter but I thought it might still be of interest to some of you. Plus readers from the northern hemisphere who are going into Autumn could find it useful.
My love for the Rimmel Salon Pro nail polishes is well-documented as I’ve talked about them many times before. You can read more about the polishes here and here but to quickly recap they’re a bit of a hybrid between base coat, nail colour and top coat and the brush is the perfect width.
It’s a bit of a bold claim but I think they’re probably my favourite nail polishes. Especially since they’re so cheap – even in New Zealand! I usually buy mine from Farmers – there’s the Kate Moss range and the regular ones.
Over the years I’ve built quite the collection and these are a few of my favourites for winter.
Desire is a gorgeous burgundy with a little shimmer to it. No Need to Blush is such a unique colour; I’d describe it as ladylike berry pink. Soul Session was one of the first two colours I tried from this range and I’ve raved about it many times. It’s my perfect nude with a touch of brown and a touch of pink. It’s one of a few nudes that don’t make my hands look too pale. Acid House is a gorgeous forest green with a beautiful shimmer. Lastly, Punk Rock is a stunning deep blue grey, almost black colour.
