I don’t think I’ve ever done a Halloween nail post before, which is crazy because I love Halloween and I love nail polish.
For this first one I thought I’d just keep things simple with a few glitter looks. These are perfect if you’re not wanting to look too costumey and would prefer something a little more glamorous.
I used three different solid colours for the bases and five glitters:
- OPI in In My Back Pocket
- Australis Glitter Top Coat in Glitter Strikes Back
- Essie Nail Polish in Ignite the Night
- OPI Nail Polish in The Glittering Night
- Orly Chunky Glitter Nail Polish in Bronze
- Revlon Nail Enamel in Scandalous
I tried every glitter over the three solid colours and these are the nine that looked best.
Orly Chunky Glitter Nail Polish in Bronze is an orange-bronze glitter that looked great over all three solid colours – black (1), white (8) and orange (5).
Australis Glitter Top Coat in Glitter Strikes Back is a purple, orange and gold glitter nail polish that also worked beautifully over black (2), white (9) and orange (6).
Essie Nail Polish in Ignite the Night is a fine dark silver glitter that is great for Halloween when paired over orange (7).
OPI Nail Polish in The Glittering Night is a silver glitter in a thin black polish. This looked best paired with the black nail polish (4).
Revlon Nail Enamel in Scandalous is really similar to OPI Nail Polish in The Glittering Night, except the glitter is purple not silver. This also looked best with the black nail polish (3).
I hope this has given you a little bit of inspiration for your Halloween nails. Which is your favourite?
