Continuing the theme of resolutions that’s almost taken over the blog recently (I hope you’ve been enjoying it) I wanted to talk about my beauty resolutions. I don’t know if I’ve ever really made resolutions about beauty before but I’ve decided this year I want to make a few changes.
Now I’m not taking these too seriously and won’t get annoyed at myself if I don’t stick to them but I find resolutions to be inspiring and motivating.
Pamper myself regularly
I’ve got pretty good at taking care of my skin – although I certainly do still have nights where I go to sleep with my makeup on – but I want to take the time to pamper myself more. So I want to try make sure that not only am I doing my skincare routine every night but I’m also taking the time to really pamper myself. I want to take one night a week to do a face mask, paint my nails and spend time relaxing by myself.
Paint my nails and use more of my collection
I used to paint my nails often but recently I’ve been going without nail polish more and more. I want to really try to paint them more regularly as it just makes me feel more like me. Even when I do paint them I tend to stick to the same colour for weeks on end but my nail polish collection is quite large so I’m going to use more of it.
Be more adventurous with my makeup
I’m always rushed in the morning so I tend to gravitate to the same makeup look every day. This year I want to be a bit more adventurous with it and use more of the products in my collection.
Try new hair styles
When I was younger I pretty much wore my hair in a ponytail or just down, then for a few years I had a pixie cut so there really were only one or two styles I could do. Now I’ve got hair extensions which are pretty long and so I want to get better at trying new hair styles.
Have you got any beauty-related resolutions this year?
